Sullivans – 23 Aug 2014
Went down to Sullivan’s Island (station 18, to the right) sat down in the sand for some meditation and reflection, not together of course. Post-meditation and three passages into the Diamond Sutra, I was tapped on the shoulder by a young, casually-well-dressed gentleman. He asked if I would mind taking a photograph. The man proceeded to tell me he was about to do “something special”. Immediately I realized he asked me to capture a monumental piece of his life. Twelve minutes into the golden hour he approached his beautiful lover and proceeded to verbalize his affections and commitments. Getting down on one knee, silhouetted by the setting sun, he pulled from his pocket a silver ring and offered to her his life and his eternal love.
