these past few (amazing) weeks have really been flying by. last week i traveled to the mountains of nicaragua visiting a coffee plantation we are working with. today, i wanted to take a moment and voice my gratitude and thankfulness for family, friends, and everyone in between. who i am today, would not be, if not for all of you. i think of each one of you everyday. thank you for letting me grow and growing along with me.
this series of photos are from thanksgiving day (spent with four generations of family along with great friends). my mother baked our turkey with a baby quail inside it. the third photo showcases my great-great-grandmother, helen (nana) and her excitement, topped with a touch of disbelief at our “pregnant” turkey. lastly, in black-and-white, my great-great-grandmother’s twin sister, hazel (both of whom will soon be turning 95).
