Where the South Santee River dumps into the Atlantic ocean. This Wildlife Management Area is home to many migratory birds, resident alligators, and a typical variety of Lowcountry Natural beauties. About 50 minutes from Downtown Charleston makes this reserve perfect for a day trip to see the sun come up and watch in awe the many species that call this place home.

Back in early 2014, a couple buddies and I ventured out into the woods of Northeast Georgia durning February. It was one of the colder backpacking trips I've experienced. I'm talking about ice forming on your sleeping back in the middle of the night...inside the tent. It was a hell of a trip. Lots of fun and the scenery was just spectacular.
A lot of great photos come from road trips. No better way to catch the best light than from on the road.

A collection of images from Francis Beidler Forest in Harleyville, SC. Here, 1,000-year-old trees and native wildlife abound in a pristine sanctuary that has been untouched for millennia. A 1.75-mile self-guided tour along the boardwalk trail allows visitors the chance to safely venture deep into the heart of the swamp... to experience the peace and serenity that have characterized the area for centuries... to hear the sounds of bird and bug and breeze that have echoed through the trees for ages... to take a relaxing and informative walk back into time... to see a swamp the way nature intended.
